- 唐代娄师德劝诫弟弟，当别人吐口水在脸上时，不要擦拭，让它自己干掉的故事。典出《新唐书．卷一○八．列传．娄师德》。比喻逆来顺受，宽容忍让。宋．陆游〈闻里中有斗者作此示之〉诗：「秋毫不能忍，平地寻干戈；唾面听自干，彼忿自消磨。」也用来骂人不知羞耻。
